Dear Alumni and Friends of Moore Catholic,
The Hall of Fame Golf Outing and Dinner will be held on Thursday, May 4th 2017. This year we will be honoring five outstanding alumni. Katherine McGarry-Connors ’80 will receive the Distinguished Alumni Award for her exemplary career and charitable work in the Staten Island Community. We will also honor Robert Gullickson ’77 and James McGuire ’82 with the first ever Moore Catholic Family Award. Bob and Jim established the Maverick Foundation and the Gullickson-McGuire Scholarship in memory of their brothers Joe Gullickson ‘82 and Dan McGuire ’77.
The Hall of Fame Committee has selected two former student-athletes to be inducted into the Moore Catholic Hall of Fame. Diane Buglioli ’67 was a stand-out on the basketball court and involved in many clubs and served as president of the senior class. Sharon McAdams ’77 was a 5 ‘1 dynamo on the girl’s basketball team and a three time Advance All Star. Sharon was also the Girls Varsity Basketball Coach (1982-86) guiding the Mavericks to Island, CHSAA and State Championships.
We are proud of our graduates of the past fifty years who are representing Moore Catholic in all walks of life. The faculty and administration is comprised of alumni who are honored to be teaching the next generation. The Moore Catholic that many of us will always remember as Countess Moore continues to stress the same values of respect, honesty and integrity on a daily basis. The name may have changed but the Moore spirit is as strong as ever.
You can pay tribute to these exceptional individuals by enjoying a day on the golf course, attending the dinner, acknowledging them with a page in the souvenir journal or by taking one of our various sponsorships listed in the brochure. Please join us on May 4th to make this a very special day for our honorees and Moore Catholic High School.
