Office of the President and Principal

Welcome to Moore Catholic High School!

Since our founding in 1962, Moore Catholic High School (MCHS) has been a leading choice for motivated students seeking a fully-balanced, individualized educational experience. As the only co-educational Catholic high school located in mid-Staten Island, MCHS is in a unique position to offer a student-centered learning environment in the Catholic tradition of excellence in education.

Our academic offerings include Advanced Placement and St. John’s University College Advantage courses. In accordance with the standards set forth by the New York State Board of Regents, all of our students graduate with either a Regents Diploma or a Regents Diploma with Advanced Designation.

Our Institute for the Performing Art, lead by Mrs. Kristen Pinto, continues to earn multiple awards at the Minty’s Gala. Under the direction of Kyle McAlarney, our top-flight athletics program is ever expanding, adding volleyball, lacrosse, bowling and golf to our offerings.

In recent years, our graduates have been accepted to top colleges and universities, including the University of Notre Dame, Stevens Institute of Technology, Fordham University, NYU, Howard University, and William E. Macaulay Honors College at the City of New York. The class of 2019 earned an average of $125,000 per capita in scholarship awards.

Recent additions to our extra-curricular offerings are The Design Club, STEM Club, and Media Club. Under the stewardship of our Campus Minister, Mrs. Jillian Kelly and our Chaplain, Father Rhey Garcia, our ministry continues to evolve and grow.

Please take a moment to explore our new website. Prospective students are invited to  participate in our “Maverick for a Day” program. There are multiple opportunities for our families and alumni to become involved. Mr. Charlie Siedenburg, Our Director of Alumni Relations, will be happy to help our alumni be “Moore Connected!”

Best Personal Regards,

Mrs. Gina L. DeSantis, President and Principal
