Head Coach: Deloha Mendez
Coach Mendez, a Costa Rica native who grew up in Brownsville, Brooklyn, brings a wealth of soccer experience to the Mavericks’ program as he’s been around the game his entire life. Mendez played soccer and graduated from Washington Irving HS in Manhattan and also played on the pitch while attending Kingsborough Community College in Brooklyn.
The Mavericks are taught the Spanish methodology in the style of Atlético Madrid. The boys have become known for their hard nose defensive tactics coupled with fast organized counter attacks. We play attractive soccer with an unbreakable team spirit.
Coach Corinne Musanti enters her 2nd season as the Head Coach of the Mavericks.
Coach Corinne and her staff are optimistic about the season as a core of veterans return to the line up along with some promising newcomers. Fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship are part of a winning formula for the Mavericks.
The team will play a 17 game schedule this year in the competitive CHSAA league.
The Mavericks will play most of their Home games on the Moore turf field with two additional home games at the Owl Hallow Field Complex on Arthur Kill Road.
