Coach De Lacy is a graduate of St Francis College with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He has an expert level certification in La Liga Methodology from Spain, and is certified in Primer Skills methodology from the English Premier League as well as an advanced Futsal license from ANEFS in Spain. Coach has experience in international, national, regional and local travel level Soccer and Futsal.
The Mavericks are taught the Spanish methodology in the style of Atlético Madrid. The boys have become known for their hard nose defensive tactics coupled with fast organized counter attacks. We play attractive soccer with an unbreakable team spirit.
Coach Alex Weir enters his 18th season as the Head Coach of the Mavericks. The Assistant Coaches are Tommy Donegan and Moore Alumna Rebecca Devlin ‘’05.
Rebecca was a key member of Moore’s 2006 CHSAA Championship team. The annual alumni game will be held on October 29th at 4pm as part of our Homecoming festivities.
Coach Alex and his staff are optimistic about the season as a core of veterans return to the line up along with some promising newcomers. Fundamentals, teamwork and sportsmanship are part of a winning formula for the Mavericks.
The team will play a 17 game schedule this year in the competitive CHSAA league.
The Mavericks will play most of their Home games on the Moore turf field with two additional home games at the Owl Hallow Field Complex on Arthur Kill Road.
