Auditioning

To join a Performing Arts program, you must audition based on one of the below program requirements.

Theater
Prepare a two-minute dramatic monologue and a two-minute comedic monologue to be memorized and acted out. Bring a copy of your monologue with you the day of the audition. You will also be required to read a scene that will be provided.

Dance
Participate in a dance workshop which will include warm-up, technique, and a dance combination. It is also required that each student perform a two minute choreographed dance routine in one of the following styles: Ballet, Jazz, or Modern. Please provide music and wear proper dance attire and footwear.

Band
Prepare to play one music selection approximately 32 measures and provide sheet music. Be prepared to sight read and play scales of one octave ascending and descending. Drummers need not bring their own equipment it will be provided.

Voice
Prepare to sing a musical selection of 32 measures in the Classical, Jazz, or Broadway genre. Please provide sheet music as piano accompaniment will be provided.

Callbacks:

Thursday, September 12th
3:00pm – 5:00pm – “Blithe Spirit”

Friday, September 13th
3:00pm – 8:00pm – “Seussical”

Designated times for specific roles will be assigned within the time span given for each day of callbacks
